About Dr. Aisha White - Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Aisha White is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Austin for several years. She graduated from Howard University (Washington, DC) and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois) while concurrently completing a Master’s of Business Administration at The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). She completed her internship and residency in General Surgery at the SUNY (State University of New York) Health Center (Brooklyn, New York) and completed her residency in Plastic Surgery at The University of Illinois at Chicago (Illinois).
Dr. White is a female board-certified plastic surgeon and the owner and of Quintessence Plastic Surgery in Austin, Texas. Her specialties include breast surgery (including, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, and breast reconstruction), mommy makeovers, tummy tucks, and cosmetic surgery. She was drawn to a career in plastic surgery because she saw first-hand how it could not only transform people’s bodies, but also their self-esteem.
Her professional affiliations include being a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College Surgeons, and faculty at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas. She is also published and her articles have appeared in scientific journals related to reconstructive plastic surgery.
Her community service work encompasses serving on various boards and memberships for a number of non-profit organizations in the Greater Austin area. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of CommUnity Care, AIDS Services of Austin, and Leadership Austin and has held leadership positions in these organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ballet Austin Board of Directors and Vivent Health and she is Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Department of Surgery at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas. She is also a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Austin. She says of her volunteer work that it “keeps me grounded and keeps me grateful.”
