Mini Facelift

A mini facelift in Austin can rid the face of subtler signs of aging like sagging skin and wrinkles. This variation on the full facelift tightens the skin and defines the features for a more youthful look.
The appearance of signs of aging on our skin is a common aspect of the aging process. Age lines and drooping skin can make the face look haggard and older. This prevents our youthful radiance from shining through. Aside from affecting the aesthetic appeal of our face, sagging skin can also lead to diminished self-confidence.
What Is a Mini Facelift?
A mini facelift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure performed to trim away sagging skin and lift and tighten the remaining skin. It is used to rejuvenate the appearance of the lower half of the face. The most commonly targeted area for a mini facelift is the jawline and chin area, since this is the area where the most sagging skin is concentrated.
Who Can Get a Mini Facelift?
A mini facelift can be administered to anybody who wants tighter skin for a more youthful appearance. Unlike the full facelift, it is ideal for slightly younger patients in need of a subtler degree of facial rejuvenation. It is also better for patients looking for a shorter and more comfortable recovery period.
Since the mini facelift specifically targets the lower half of the face, it is sometimes done in conjunction with a brow lift to achieve more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

What Is the Procedure for a Mini Facelift?
You will first meet with Dr. Aisha White for a consultation. During this consultation, she will brief you about the details of the treatment and ask you about your aesthetic goals. The two of you will discuss your complete medical history, including any allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, and any past procedures.
On the day of the surgery, local anesthesia with sedation will be administered. This sets the mini facelift apart from the full facelift, a procedure that typically requires general anesthesia. General anesthesia is accompanied by a greater chance of side effects and complications. Once Dr. White is sure that you are sufficiently numb, the procedure will begin.
Small incisions will then be made near the ears/hairline. Excess skin will be removed, and the underlying tissues will be lifted. Finally, the incisions will be closed with sutures.
Mini Facelift Recovery
Once the mini facelift is complete, you can go home in the next few hours. You will need to undergo a recovery period, which will involve a minor degree of bruising and swelling, along with some time off from work and strenuous activities. Once healing is complete, you will see the full results of the mini facelift.
Mini Facelift Cost
The cost of your mini facelift will depend on several factors. The overall price will be affected by the amount of tissue removed, the total time required to perform the surgery, and more.
